Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Becky, my wife of 22 years, enjoys working with polymer clay. She likes making ornaments at Christmas time, and this year she asked for a picture of one of my hybrid BG's, so she could incorporate a water feature inside one of the globes.

Every single piece is formed outside the ornament, then carefully arranged inside with the help of some miniature tools, while working through the "neck" of the globe...... Like a ship in a bottle.

Notice the orange-tipped fins, they're hybrids all right...

those are real cool..

That's great! Make sure to post the photos on the photo page so I can feature them.

Definitely different. Does she make them for sale or just for fun?

Thanks, guys.

David, she makes them both ways.... usually, she will give some to family, friends, and customers, and those are tailored to each individual.. Sort of a "theme" ornament, if you will. Something specific to that person is worked into the design.

She also sells some at our local art guild, however those have more of a generic disposition.

Hey Tony,  Your wife is a true artist.   Nick Holt
