Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

If anyone has not been watching whats been going on in the center of the country, we are in the middle of a 100 year flood , lots more water than we have ever seen. The Mississippi River is full, all our rivers that flow into the Mississippi are full , I-40 is closed, Memphis is flooding and the river is not susposed to crest till next week. Now the Corp of Engineers is now thinking about opening the Morganza Spillway, near New Roads La., and  letting some of The Mississippi flow down the Atchafalaya Basin , something that hasn't been done since 1973, and when they did  it then the Corp almost lost the flood control structure itself. If they lose the structure  the Mississippi will change course and  head for the Gulf on a shorter and steeper route right through The Atachafalaya which is one of the premier bluegill fishing swamps around. Who knows what is going to happen  next week, but if you live in the Atachafalaya   floodway , get ready for lots of water.

WOW ! its hard to imagine I40 be'n shut down, and it aint gonna crest till next week.

But have no fear...our government will save us.

LOF   I hope thing turn out well or better then what I've been watching on the news. For so much water it un- real. And over here it Texas we're in need of any kind of rain. Fire all over the state and lake and ponds are drying up.  Lake Conroe is down about 4 ft and we're one of the lucky ones.

Some are down 10 to 15 feet.
