Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I just received mt parcel and I was blown away by what was in it! I really don't know what to say, there is so many awesome things in it, I have never seen so many flies before. I just want to say that I am really grateful to all you awesome people who took the time to make and send me something. The flies are beautiful, some of them are too amazing that I don't think they deserve to get hung in a tree by me!

For the first time I have a problem! Which fly am I going to use? Looks like I am going to be doing a lot of fishing for a long time to give each fly a try!

Just want to say thank you to every one that contributed to my parcel!

your very welcome Mathew!  very glad you finally got  the gifts; I was worried that you could have some kind of problem receiving it.  as for choosing which ones to try--    GOOD LUCK ON THAT!!!!  at least now you have a few to try out!

Woo! Glad it made it as well! Post a photo!

That's awesome, lots of great people on this board I am finding out.

Yeeeehaw!! Very happy it got there without an international incident occurring.
As for which flies to use, that's easy - use mine. They're guaranteed "killers!"
I actually had them tied and ready to mail to you, way back when you and I FIRST talked about it. That's when I mentioned them to Carl and we cooked up the idea of a donation drive. Once I'd written the original post for it, and it got rolling..., the flies ended up sitting at my house right up til the deadline because I forgot about them!

Again, so glad you got everything.

Mathew, you're welcome!  It was a pleasure doing this for you.

As for which ones to start with, well, just pick one, and fish a different fly each time, or a couple flies each day.

The joy is in the giving. Having someone genuinely appreciate the gift is big plus. Enjoy it all and take lots of photos.

We have had a drought here and the day I want to go fishing with my new flies it rains!

Don't feel alone this was the nicest day in weeks and because of the snow I had to work all day. Even worse I had to the Kentucky Lake area. So I could see other people fishing while I worked. Torture!!!

I don't think I will run out of flies soon! I have 363 flies! Thanks again! Each one is special!

hahahhah-- Mathew -- now you have more flies than I have!!   and keith  ritter-- since it was such a nice day;;   well;; I just had to take the boat out for a spin!!  Jeffery   likes to call his boat-- the blue gill chariot.  I call mine;; exactly what  my wife calls me--  my wifes greatest number one  enemy!!  after over 40 years of marriage;; trust me;; I have earned the title!

Rub it in why don't you?

MAN CARL glad ya got out for a while in the boat buddy !!!!!!!! I don't have ski's on mine yet , wish I did......
