Glad to see January getting out of here tomorrow......start chipping away at the final full month of winter on Monday.............

One year ago today...........a pretty good perch trip with very similar weather conditions.........

Thanks Carl and Allen.........perch run is in full swing on the Northern Albemarle.......Fish showing in good numbers on the Perquimans, Pasquotank and the North rivers.......Tulls Bay/Northwest and North Landing should be good within the week.....

Nice Perch!

Wood Ducks?!?!?!  Those are some prime fly-tying feathers right there!  Barred Wood Duck Flank is used in a lot of classic Catskill patterns.

going often;; knowing where as well as when to go; what to use when you get there;;  barmetric pressure knowledge;;  depth; exact location of fish;; hmmmm;; Jeffery;; you catch more in 30 minutes than a lot of guys catch all day;; and great quaality size fish to !!

Thanks guys........you ain't kidding on Spring Carl.........52 and a wakeup!.......Only one other angler Slip but more than a dozen boats in place before daylight for duck hunting.......lots of shots this morning and most appeared to be wood ducks......I hear you on the warmer temps Jason..........I just go often Dink!
