Orange on the ice.

White foam spyder with the fly rod.
Black
Cricket brown also
Pumpkinseed color!
orange
strawberry red
worm flesh color
White has been my favorite for 30 years....then black..............when they're feeding heavily.....they hit any color.....just plain "movement" attracts fish more then colors on a fish feeding spree.....I've caught gills on a plain hook(jigging it lightly) with nothing on it as bait once they are attracted to an area......
I'm reading a book our friend ZIG suggested was a necessary item that claims ORANGE is a favorite Blue Gill color according to some studies. The book is by Paul Johnson and its called ,"The Scientific Angler". I think I'm gonna seek out some Orange jigs after reading about that in this book.
How bout red.
Yes red!!!Previously I stated:

Here are the exact quotes from the book:

"Bluegills exhibit peak eye sensitivity in the red/orange region"

"Fly Fisherman stand a better chance of catching more Bluegills by using red/orange-colored poppers"
Pink!
