Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Joe and I brought in winter 2019 with a nice mess of Fliers....cricket tipped jigs near bottom in five to eight feet of water with 43 degree surface temps....

I have seen one Rock Bass nesting in with  a bunch of Bluegill beds .Now i am wondering if there's a Gill/Rockie Hybrid ,but never heard of that mix.

Good question John.......I  have never seen it but it would not surprise me ......I often catch both species in the same location during the spawn .......normally you would see smaller fish getting chased off but I have witnessed them piled up together.....I even caught them together today in ten feet of water..........
