Road runners are proven winners Carl but I personally wouldn't try them under a float and I rarely cast and crank when I'm fishing..........almost 100 percent of the time I am employing a float or some type of indicator........

No problem John........I always present this style of belly spinner under a float..........I like the way the spoon flutters when I jig the bait..........it resets very life like resulting in an abundance of strikes.............

Thank you Jeffrey for the info on the belly spinner lures. I've gotten a lot of good tips off of this site. I too like to use telescopic poles sometimes.

The brand I like is "Shur Strike"..........

Thanks John........I've enjoyed lots of success with the belly spinners but I don't make my own.......I have located a commercial brand that I like .............I'll provide the name in a future post as I can't think of it now.......I truly think it helps with all species.....

It looks like belly spinners work well. Do you make them yourself?

Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on October 13, 2018 at 11:17am

The bait is a hot pink 1/32 ounce ball jig with a belly spinner..........
