Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This photo was taken in late January of 2010 by one of my fellow fishermen here in CT.  We caught about 200 that day as a group.  Most were released. Love the variety and the colors.

Looks like seeds, gills and pumpkin gills in the mix! Cool! Throw in some perch and crappie and I'm ready to eat!
A few redbreast/gill hybrids as well. Quite the mixed bag that day.

Wow! This would make a cool T-shirt! Where's the Redears? A northern mixture for sure. Great pic! Now let them all go. Too pretty to kill!
Don't know why I thought of this, but that would make an awesome jigsaw puzzle. Might take awhile to complete!
