good fly for your new haunts allan.i never catch anything on buggers and it baffles me ,and believe me i have tried many sizes ,colors and versions.

Carl,

Ive watched Don Schmotzer catch fat bluegill and 8 pound catfish on a #12 Wooly Bugger. They aren't tied just like this, but close. The materials are sized pretty dainty for something that size, too.
But Ive been amazed

To go down to that small of a hook would require different materials.  Schlappen is too big for that.
