Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I can count on at least 2 northern pike each time I go after gills on this lake.....not big by any means but they sure are abundant!(we call em "snakes" up here in northern Minnesota)...broke my line 3 times this morning!....

They sure do eat northern pike!....I haven't for quite awhile since crappies sure taste great(my favorite for taste I guess not that there's anything wrong with gills..lol) but fresh caught northern pike fillets from cold waters(key here is cold waters) rolled in your favorite batter/coating deep fried is pretty hard to beat!....pike are great tasting fish and easy to catch....well....in northern Minnesota anyways....lol!....My biggest to date was 44" and came in at 26 pounds....lots of fillets on a northern that size!.... caught it years ago on the Canadian border in northern Mn.

Do people eat pike? If not, do you throw them back, or kill them?
