Most of my fishing is in the local stock tanks, but I occasionally get to go to Lake LBJ (Granite Shoals), and that's where I get the big ones! Down here, the average is 5-6 inches; @Lake LBJ, I have a hard time finding any under 8", and most are 9-10 inches. Of course, if you don't have a boat of some kind, they're hard to get to. I use a kayak - no engine noise. A guy on another forum (texaskayakfisherman.com) did an informal study on the noise factor and found out that kayaks are not only quieter than outboards and trolling motors, they're even quieter than wading!

I live in Magnolia off 1488. Most of my fishing is in some of the local ponds and the little 3/4 acre pond in my back yard. where do you fish around here?
