Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I love my lake in town... paused and took a few casts before picking up a hot and ready pizza

12 minutes, Ken, in my raggedy old truck.
Look up Camp Barstow boat landing.
Once I get the wheeled dolly, there are three rough access bridge sites that are even closer.
Next needed is some closer ponds. There are a few, all private. Gonna take some diode knocking.

David ... how close are you to your lake Murray?

I got three spots within 5 mins that will produce fish for me... one of them is a five minute walk to the bridge over a narrows on another reservoir. I have a brown trout stream out back that im embarrassed to say i have never fished! 50ft from my house. All this kind of factored in when i was looking for property 4 yrs ago. Keeps me busy and keeps you young.

I keep a fly rod in mine.
But I need the quick local water... Have to keep an eye out and do a little asking around...

Very nice to live near these reservoirs prime smallmouth habitat... very surprised hardly any locals fish around here. Smallmouths are very prolific and cruise this shoreline from late september thru ice-on.when i need that quick fishin fix i usually end up here.

Pizza pizza!
Ain't that just dandy? I've never seen a smallie and you catch one out the window of your truck.
Now, that's heroic!
