Tooty I made a pellet fly a couple years ago and it worked quit well. Couldn't get the fish to hit anything maybe because they are pellet fed I don't know so I made a couple up. Seems like I have this pond in my back yard and hardly ever get a chance to fish it I had more time when I worked for a living or maybe this is all that stuff I put on the back burner and now it has to be done..

Tony thanks for the words of encouragement nice knowing I'm not the only one that gets behind. I'll try to keep posting as I go. I have a light I made with a weed whacker and lights to draw in the skeeter and other bugs in hoping at night the bugs will be drawn to the light and the whacker whacks them to the water for the smaller fish to eat. That's after I get electricity out there. Hunting for a s/s sink like you for a fish cleaning station and installing some seating on the dock and of coarse after I get the banks at a gradual incline so I can mow right to the water line I want to re-stone. Lots to do and so little time to do it in.

I'll let you in on a secret, Dick.......I don't keep up with all of our ponds! I work six days a week at the shop, and still want to spend some time with the family, AND keep up with the chores....mowing grass, bushhogging, cutting firewood, building a cabin, constructing a new fish cleaning station in the hopes that I will have time to use it one of these days, getting ready for ginseng planting, building a cupola on top of the sugarhouse before maple syrup time.......

So, the ponds tend to suffer. As does my fishing. But, I suspect a great many of us here are in the same boat, although the circumstances may vary. Not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. That's what makes your project so enjoyable to me, as an observer.....I love seeing someone's hard work pay off, and come together to create something special. Please keep us posted as to your continued progress.

If it were easy, it would diminish the feeling of satisfaction you get once it's finished.

Thanks Mark. That was my spring and summer job still a ways to go but at least I'm seeing some progress now.

Thank you Carl you have been seeing in kinda step by step. I have some boat seats coming hard plastic on pedestals but to hot for the BBQ way back there. Next will be  electricity to the dock for an insect attractor I made up then some fish cover and a fish cleaning station.
