Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Has any one seen any thing fishing related made by Union Manufacting Company in Memphis, Tn? This little reel made of aluminum and attaches to pole without a seat. I used it on a fiberglass pole when I was a kid. I can't find anything related to it on the internet.

THAT'S A NEW ONE ON ME KEITH !!!!!! THOUGHT I'D SEEN MOST OF THE OLD STUFF , BUT NOT THIS ONE .......

It's a neat, super simple little reel. It's been around here for at least 30 years. Probably caught my first Crappie with it on a old fiberglass pole.

nice little reel keith,i think that is a cane pole reel.i believe thats what the screw holes are for.saw one similar  at the flea market and got distracted and someone else snatched it up

It has rather large hole in the spool, I assume to accommodate the older nylon braided fishing line. I'll probably mount it on a canepole and put some of the old style line in it.

I found the reel I remember using as a kid still taped on the old fiberglass pole withy he safety pin eyes. My Dad lived in Memphis for a while he may have picked them up then.
