I've never caught a lot of fish on spinners, except beetle spins.
I think I need a boat and to get out more, so I can try more of them.
Nice that you KNOW where and why that slot is hot... well, that is VERY cool.

Thanks Tony that fish I posted an hour ago was caught in 2011 but it shows in line spinners can produce nice Gills. I don't get many unless I go to a #! or #0 size  but I throw the #2 this time of year for Gills because of these few catches and others. I drop the lure back after short pulls of the rod, (Bass like it that way sometime too) or just retrieve steady and slow .   David the spot is a hottie ,ol Oak tree sunken to a creek channel .

Mean, I shoulda kept after a music career. Then I'd have more time to fish. Nice catch.

#2, that's a decent sized spinner for a bluegill. Just goes to show the savage nature of a bluegill, when properly "motivated."
I'm wondering what do think it might be with that spot?
Some submerged cover/structure, or maybe a funnel point for forage?

Yes David. Blue Fox Vibrax is right ,a # 2 .Great spinner with that yellow Buck tail! This same lure took a fine Hen last year or the year before on the spot I caught this fish .

Nice keeper. That's a Blue Fox "Vibrax" (or something like that), right?

Interestingly I catch an occasional nice Gill on a spinner if I fish it slow enough .
