Do you love big bluegill?
Back to McGinnis pond Delaware. Launched @ 9:00 Am after the morning showers. Caught 6 species today; Bass, Pickeral, Blue Gills, Crappies, Yellow Perch and White Perch. Many of the Gills were between 8" and 9" with a couple just over 9". Crappies in this pond are smallish with the average about 8". I had a couple of a foot long. One Yellow Perch made the foot long grade as well. Two of my Bass were 15" and 16" respectively. Pickeral were about the same as the Bass. Total catch was about 75 fish over an 8 hour period

I have heard good things about McGinnis! Nice catch!
Jim,
I've been there twice now and have been quite impressed with my results. It has a great little ramp and a secure parking area. There is a lot of structure (mostly blow downs) and a good population of fish. The Crappie population is a bit stunted, but there are plenty of nice Bluegills as well as ample Bass.
Since getting my Delaware license (Non-Resident is $.50 less than my Maryland Resident), I have fished Derby and McGinnis Ponds.. Both have produced well and are on about 35 minutes from my house. I may try Moore's next. Have you heard anything about Moore's?
