Hey Jim, I think you're absolutely right on that theory!!! For the big gals, it is just like a little peppermint patty or chips/popcorn while they're looking for that 6 or 7 inch Gill that strays a little too far from the safety of the brush or weedbed!!! Didn't weigh her but she's probably close to 4 lbs!!

You know, Warrior, we've caught several 18 to 20 inch bass this season by fishing for gills. I think that early in the year bass may target smaller offerings than later on in the season because all the bait fish and insects are hatching out in abundance. Like snackin on chips or popcorn. How big??? 4 ? 4 1/2 lbs ? Good catch!
