YOU ARE THE MAN JEFFREY and thanks for you discussion on bugs you used this year. I know you can't wait for spring and me neither!!!!!! WHen we developed this bug I thought it was just too simple to work well , now we know the truth. This fact is also further illuminated by the simplicity of Jim Gronaw's bugs . Our working together has been great and taught me a lot about bugs in general. When I was catching Gills on crappie streamers this fall it became apparent to me that the gills weren't afraid to hit stuff as big as a #8 long shank streamer. There will be lots of those in my box for spring this coming year..............

Tooty and I continued to discuss results and applications including fall rates, durability, hook set....you name it....questions were asked and the drawing board was available....These talks lead to this spin off silent stinger affectionately known as "Cotton Candy"........it was a late arrival for Summer getting to Carolina near Labor Day but it has accounted for more than 500 gills to date and it's construction amzes me....I still have the original which is now a keepsake for me as this has become my current favorite bug from Tooty and it has been reproduced more than a hundred times..... I have a couple on my box...LOL

The fish opened it up a bit.....caught three bullheads also which don't do the baits any good...

Yup they are an easy tie and should be as durable as regular bead heads.  Hook is bent open some for ease of attaching waxys or from dislodging from the gills?
