Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Tooty tied this one as well and I found some big Coppernose that just crushed it....Water temps around 82 degrees and I fished @ 30 inches deep in two to five feet of water....I like the little chartreuse legs and the lime green tail....It got a workout...roughly 80 fish today on this bait...held up pretty good....

I hooked a big bowfin on this bait this morning but unfortunately it was on my 12 foot telescopic pole so I was along for the ride......I got a look at him but he straightened the hook on his second lunge.....

I was tipping and I had to bend the hook back a couple times from some of the larger fish....I had a bass about four to five pounds on but I think the bait was fine I was struggling with my Telescopic Pole.....no leverage....Good fishing though!

THANKS JEFFREY and were you tipping the bait? Looks like the hook is spread open some also. This is the same exact bait Master Leo uses with success out west . My old buddy Doug has used these for many years and I know I've seen him catch 300-400 gills and red ears in one week on a single bug. They are pretty ratty looking after that many fish , but they still catch fish till they completely self destruct.
