Hi Jeff:

No, I was in my float tube, although occasionally I do some wading there. I go to LP mainly to fly fish for the carp. I'm on a quest to try and break the IGFA Fly Fishing World record for carp, and I've come pretty close at LP (26.5 lbs is my biggest there). The 6 lb tippet class world record is currently 28-10. I've certainly seen quite a few over 30 lbs. smimming around there in the east end.

How's the Bluegill fishing been there lately?

That Blugill was 11 inches. The fly is a purple stillwater nymph (a Denny Richards pattern) The fish probably mistook it for a dragon fly nymph.
