I still have uncorrected 20/20 vision for now so this method works for me.....many people want to see their float........It works for me David

So you flag them, and weight them for neutral buoyancy? Ill be having a pool soon (although not a fancy one like yours) Ill have to follow your lead and test them in there.

I always take my rigs to my pool and test them out and get an idea of action and fall rate...I fine tune lead weights as needed.....The slider tail has great action......These little jigs in the picture have split tails that give you a little action......But based on the strikes......big gills take this whole rig in one gulp including the cricket threaded on.....I actually like these floats to rest right under the surface....I'll add a little piece of white duct tape to the toothpick to watch for the bite.......Thus putting no resistance on the fish......Just little things I like and believe in......

I've always been fascinated, myself, with the action of those undulating twister tails. I also like the action of the Slider grubs' rounded tail.

Sometimes I play with em at the waters edge, just enjoying them. Weird, huh?

The gills swallow these David but the thing I like about the Curly Tails is the strikes that occur on the slow fall......Many fish hit the curly tails right away on the drop, especially this time of year when they are aggressive......

Do you think the straight tails on these grubs differ from the twister-tailed type? These seem more "eatable" from a brim's perspective.
