Thats mean bass is not only fish eat bluegills! I know few lakes in northern Wisconsin that have lot lot of 6 inch perch but few bluegills ....over 10 inch! Not easy to fish for bluegills! You have to catch lot of perch before you get a bluegill! Way above the average size! My late parents live on a private lake and they stocked yellow perch two years in a row and I hope that bluegills would grow bigger!

I think what he means is the size of the prey compared of the size of the predator. The smaller fish in the photo was taken from the stomach of the larger.... consider the size of the preator fish's gut tract to it's bluegill dinner shown here. Doesn't seem like it could even fit!
