Do you love big bluegill?

On Saturday I hit the same pond as last time. This time the bluegills were being more picky about size and action. Pretty soon I did jig up a chubby 8" bluegill and 2 largemouths with a Rapala Jigging Rap but then it stopped. My buddy who I was with was going to town with nice bulls up to 9". He was using a teardrop jig rigged with half of a meal worm. I finally switched over to a 1/8oz jighead rigged with a half of a meal worm. That did the trick. We ended the day with my buddy catching over 30 bluegills and 1 largemouth and me catching 12 bluegills and 2 largemouths. Most of the bluegills were chubby 8 and 9" bulls.
