Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I had the pleasure of fishing a nice lake down in central Florida a few weeks back, while on vacation to Disney World. It has huge bass in it, Lake record is something close to 13lbs. I had planned to focus on catching some big bass.. That is until I found out there were Giant Bluegills in the lake. Forget the bass. Mostly Coppernose Bluegills, Some Redears and big Female Gills as well. You'd think they would have been easy to catch but that was not the case, they were Extremely finicky! The Coppernose bluegills were traveling In schools many times I noticed as well. In an entire week of fishing while on vacation I caught roughly 50 Bluegill ranging from 9"-11.25".

Here are a few pictures, Hopfully this works, Might have to make a few posts to get all the pictures posted.

Awesome gills, Alex!
Florida's got some HUGE Bass. I'm not surprised there's huge Gills too.
Very nice catch!
Nice 'gills! I bet that was some serious fun.
Those are GREAT fish! Congrats!
Outstanding coppers! great catch!

Might you divulge the name of the lake.  Headed down that way next month.  I fully understand if you don't.  Very nice fish.
