Elena Joy Gronaw Catches Her First Bluegill...In Her Dreams!

Well, I am sure that you all knew it was bound to happen....that's right, my grandaughter, Elena Joy, woke up from an unsettling dream yesterday and proclaimed she had caught the biggest bluegill of her young life.

'Wow! Granpappy', she told me,..'.it really was this big, really!" How big? 'This big!' she squealed...

At first, I thought she was just joshin' me. But then, coming from good blood lines, I thought that maybe she did hook a giant. As soon as we got her calmed down, her daddy assured her that she would someday be haulin' in some mega gills and slab crappies, but just might have to wait a bit.

'Well, I can't wait too long...got to catch up with Daddy and Granpappy' she said. 'And this Condello fellow...I've got him in my sights as well.'

All in due time Eleana Joy, all in due time!

You can tell her about me Jim. I am the bluegillboogieman. It's only because the bluegills run and hide when I hit the water.

And, like her name, she is a joyous and laughing, happy little girl! But we are going to cull all those boogieman stories...for obvious reasons!

Jim, I've got 5 grandchildren and they will all be fishing together this weekend. I can hardly wait to watch and learn. I'm glad Elena "JOY" is getting in the mood early, longer for you to watch and learn.

I just love her middle name.

Now you're dreaming. I'd bet she said porcupine quill. The cricket part you had right. You must be drifting in and out, not getting the whole story.

She mumbled something about a cricket and a cork...don't know where she got that method from. We don't play that up here...but in dreams, anything can happen!

Man!, That thing was as big as her! Did you get what she caught it on?
