Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I had no idea that Gulp nightcrawlers and maggots were worth anything, but today I went by k-mart to get a new rod for my ultra light and while I was there I realized that I didn't want to travel to a bait store to get bait, so I decided to get a few art. lures and I decided to try gulp ( thinking it was a waste of money), but I decided to proceed.....so, I went to a local pond I frequent , that normally has abundance of bass, and gills ....WHHHOOA!!...I was there using Gulp, and in about 1 hour I caught rougly 60 gill, mainly large and mainly the redbreast...the maggots worked awesome but, lost alot more catching fish, while the crawler last through probably 15 fish....I was pleasantly surprised.........so just passing the word along......Dallen

Um use hooks 10 or 12 and use wax worms that is the bait ive always been using. I use 6 pound test line flouralcarbon with a 1/4 or 1/2 oz. bass sinker on the end and 1 feet up a #10 pre snelled hook and another feet up another presnelled hook.

I've used the maggots without much luck, maybe its my presention. I've tried hooks as small as #8 with and without any weigth, float and no float. Any recommendations or hints I'll glady except. Now on the other hand I have had pretty good luck using the night crawlers.

I know what you mean. I was under the impression that it was a waste of money as well. But, I purchased a jar of the maggots as well as the nightcrawlers. Needless to say I will never leave home without them!

No matter the color, size or shape of your bait, tip with ANY kind of Gulp and it will catch fish.......... It is unreal stuff.
