Well at least you read it all Derrick. I surmise that because size was never mentioned and that ommission raised the burning question in you. Sounds like you want the short version answer. No!

But that's not all I've got to say. I'm here for the party, and if there ain't one, I'll start it. I'll even engage a party pooper. Now there is something in the rules about getting off subject too far and the original question is mostly being addressed. In the end, if you want to know something about bluegills, this is the place, and anyway you can think of to ask or tell about that is OK with me, as long as you follow the rules. I want to change my short version answer now. YES size matters. This is BIGbluegill.com

Does size matter? Uhh I mean in reference to blogs, forums, discussions, comments, questions, answers, results, crickets, cockroaches, southern girls, grits, infestations, limitations, exclusions, oatmeal, raisins, cream of wheat, blueberries, Yogi Berras, dares, refusals, commands, pinches, bait, preferences, confusings, back and forthings, clarifications, placings, wordynessness, or anything else I've missed in this here comment or rambling.

Jim, the Grits are the real corny deal. I did not cook a Southern girl or throw a raw one in the water. That's all I'm going to say about the experiment because Sharon will not bribe me with a cricket eating dare!

Sharon, this Blog question is about the difference between blogs and forum discussions. One of the things about Blogs is the author CAN limit who, if anyone, can add to the blog through comments. This particular Blog does not have anyone or everyone excluded, so no matter what I say about NO roachy bugs, you can sick them on me all you want to. I am powerless over your cockroaches. I am now infested. UNLESS, I start a different Blog and make it exclusive to myself. Then I can blab forever without even thinking about roachy bugs. I can even fix it so you can read it IF you choose, but you can't comment in it! But in this open Blog, they are everywhere. It's probably OK because Lord of the Fly , Rods says cockroaches will do for bluegill bait in a pinch.

I refused to be commanded on what I can or can't talk about. So, cockroaches on you

You said, "Just how bad do you want to know about the Great Grits Experiment?"

If the GRITS we are talking about are "Girls Raised In The South," everything.

7 to 9 Sharon,
You are asking a lot of questions about something that has not even been blogerated yet. You are fantasizing too! I never mentioned oatmeal, raisins, cream of wheat or blueberries. I certainly never mentioned my beloved crickets. AND, since it will be MY blog, with only me allowed to comment on it, it will not have anything about roachy bugs in it. I will determine what the real question is and here it is. Should I write it or not? NOPE, I ain't. Well maybe I could be persuaded IF, you agreed to join me and also eat 2 crickets yourself, IF Lord of the Fly , Rods produces pictures of bluegills he actually caught on his famous Frog Gulp #2. Just how bad do you want to know about the Great Grits Experiment?

Hey BGBM, did you put crickets in the grits instead of raisins? Wait, did you make oatmeal instead of grits? Wait, maybe you made cream of wheat with blueberries in it instead of crickets? But, the real question is, why do you have so many cockroaches?
Comment by bluegillboogieman on May 17, 2010 at 2:07pm
I am thinking about creating a blog about my recent experiment of chumming with GRITS. In it I can tell the story of how I used raw and cooked grits to try to put bluegills in a feeding frenzy. I can describe the results, which state of grits they preferred and how long the frenzy lasted before I had to re-grit. Then to make it my blog and nobody else's, I could change my preferences so no one but me could comment on my blog. Then you could just read it and weep!

IF, instead I started a discussion about my grits experiment, with the same little story, I could get all kinds of replies like; What are GRITS? Or Were they salted?. And I could answer each dumb question with a brilliant answer, and it would be right under the question. The burning questions everyone must have about grits and gills could keep going and going.

I think I'll do the blog and let you answer your own questions. Or you could just read it and weep, cause you'd be locked out, unable to refute any of my statements with your own TRUE GRIT.

To: Nick Holt, I cannot reply directly to your Yogi Berra question in this blog because Magnolia got between us and I can't skip over him and go directly to your question though I can reply here at the top and evryone can just wonder what the answer is about. What was the question they might say. Never mind, I think I'll let you wonder why I even mentioned Yogi and reply instead to Magnolia. Yes Magnolia, I AM THE MAN and you are a large flower.
