Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I am getting my gear ready for Spring. Any opinions on what the best line to use is. I've been reading on line about mono, fluoro and braid and see advantages to each. Up to now I've stuck with Berkley's Trilene, both XL Smooth Casting (6 lb.) and their TransOptic (8 lb.) brand. A salesman at Dick's Sporting Goods got me to buy a spool of 15 lb. Power Pro Moss Green braided line. I have not put it on my reel yet. Opinions and recommendations would be welcome. I use a Shimano Stradic CI4+ Spinning Reel with a Shimano 6'6" graphite medium light, fast action rod.

I use Berkley Nanofil 10 lb. on my Brim pole ,with a Shimano Sahara 4000 Spinning reel 6:0 gear and a Fenwick 6'6" Elitetech Small Mouth rod Med. 6-12 Lb. I can throw it mile and detect the smallest bite. I can use very light crank baits  or very light small corks.  Right now I have a Crappie stick ,that is 2" long and 1/4" wide on my pole. People ask me how can I throw it out that far. I tell them the line is so smooth it just casts further.

Gary; for what its worth; I just use Mr. Crappie line in a 8 pound; for everything;  from my spinning reels; to tippets for my fly line;; works extremly great for me. at my age; I like being able to see my line ; ( it has a type of yellowish / green color) and at times I even use it as a float  for my fly rod;;  if it twitches;; its a fish messing with the bait !  I have read others using nano line also; thought about trying it;; just havent found any yet in my local stores
