I second the "being careful on new ice" comment....I frequent the Indiana ice fishing boards, and I don't recall ever seeing this many folks falling through this early...it's crazy out there!

Be careful on the new ice this year!

Heh, when I started watching the vid, I thought "It's not getting out that you need to worry about, it's getting back in" and then... :-)

Wow, I fished once with snow falling, on the lake up Payson Canyon in Utah (note to self: when you see all the cattle walking down the hill to lower elevations, turn around cuz it's gonna snow :p) but I've never fished in weather cold enough to need an ice breaker :-)

Great fishing, though; looks like it was worth it :-)

I'm only coming during the Summer....LOL......Can't say you don't have a sense of adventure Bill.....How soon after this video was the ice too thick for the boat...just curious...only ice in the South is in my sweet tea  glass!

Oh man! How's your boat's hull after that escapade?

Comment by John Sheehan on December 30, 2011 at 12:03pm

Ha ha wild! That ice looks a bit thicker than when I 've done it. Late November in Jersey is good Crappie fishing and its not to be denied if I can help it .
