Thanks Ross! Not in your league yet but I'm getting there. Those are some dandy gills that you just posted also. Your photo page is simply incredible!

Hi Ross,

Sorry, I didn't see your question until now.  For bluegill I'm looking for 11 1/4 inches and larger. Ones that have a healthy look to them and are not long and skinny.

Looks like the ones you catch are healthy!

On my page I have a Fish List of other species with sizes for Free replicas.  If you catch a fish that makes the list I will mold the fish you caught and make a replica from the mold, Free!

Hey Ross...you are exactly right about those females gettin and and out quickly on bedding areas. I'll bet 95% of the bigger gills I catch during the spawn are males. Most of he big fish we see are almost always males, and we catch some of the larger females in the deeper outskirts next to bedding areas.

Wow! Ross....those gills are just repulsively huge! Where and when? Secret deep south retreat? You can trust me...I won't tell a soul!

In all honesty, anyone of those fish woul be a lifetime catch for most anglers, to include myself...fabulous!
