Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

whats up guys, do most of you use the same tackle when going for crappie and Bluegill. Will the same lures and setups work, or do the bluegill typically like more live bait presentations.

Some bluegills will inhale a jig and minnow. If they are aggressive and hungry, small spinnerbaits like Beetle Spins are fun to use. They'll even hit a tiny crankbait too.

Absolutely 100% the Bluegills will take the same lures/baits/ and set ups- at least here in Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio. In most of the small creeks, small lakes, and ponds I fish regularly I have found that the gills and papermouths both strike artificials and live bait with much agressiveness. And they both seem to like a wide variety of artificials as well. I have also found that some of my larger catches have happened while fishing artificials though! Good Luck.
