Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Located just slightly north of the 42nd paralell, we experience 12-14 weeks of hardwater action every year......and the games are about to begin!

My primary box is armed with an array of Demons, Marmooskas, Hali jigs, Rat finkeys, Moon glo and glitters, Gill pills and an assortment of horizontal jigs that are at the ready.

Members like Eric White, Kyle Sorenson, and Justin Gloede have already walked on water this season, and have begun to experience verticle nirvana........I'm next!

Yep....a handful of guys were out there this afternoon...I'll try and meet you out there, hopefully I'll be able to digitally capture a much needed avatar for you.

Musky Mod, please let me know if you are seeing guys on the ice southwest of your home. I am hoping last night's and today's cold weather will "tighten" things back up. We had quite a bit of rain yesterday and app. 4 - 5" of snow on top of that (in Kenosha County). I am hoping to take off this Friday and drill some holes. Thanks Mod.

Musky Mod, ice was good Sunday just southwest of your house. I was on 4" of good ice and fished in 3 foot of water. The Gills were cooperating and I had a great time. All are still swimming as I need to eat up what I have cleaned. Today's rain isn't going to help things; however, some more cold weather comes in tonight. If work and safe ice allows, I may take off this Friday and perform a little "vertical nirvana" on your lake again. Feel free to swing by. I have to leave in the early afternoon and head towards Oshkosh for my daughter's college graduation. If I get out, it will be early Friday and probably fish to Noon or 1pm. Take care...great pictures, as always, Mod.

While I'm kind of looking forward to my first ice fishing adventures ever, I'd just assume spend my winter in Tx or Fl, but since I'm stuck in Nebraska, I'll take what I can get..... Musky Mod, thanks for the pictures, it gives me an idea of what to be on the look out for the next time I'm at the mothership!

I'm just a few minutes south of the Wisc/IL border.

Vertical nirvana....love it!

We've only got about an inch right now, so I'd better either wait, or lose weight.
