On most days, I can go out on Percy Priest and catch about as many bluegill as I want, but some days you just have to be thankful for the ones you get, yesterday was one of those days. The two things that can make for a tough day fishing are a cold front, and a high pressure system, even more so when you get both on the same day. Although the weather was beautiful yesterday, and it was a cool and comfortable day on the lake, the fishing was really off. It did me good to slow down, re-asses what I was doing, and try some new tactics. Although I caught some fish, more than enough for a meal, I really enjoyed the challenge and actually look forward to fishing on a similar day in the future. If this has struck a cord with you, write back and tell us about some of your tough times. I know I will enjoy hearing about them. Tom
