Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

So if any of you good folks in California were to recommend the best month of the year to fish Lake Perris, what would it be?  Are there guides who take people out specifically for bluegill and redears?

I think we've found a location for the first annual bigbluegill.com reunion jamboree!

I have been interested in a trip to SoCal since I first learned about Perris, but it's still a matter of practicality. Hopefully in the next year or two!!! LedHed....what can you tell us, oh guru of the bluegoo?

Hey Bruce, I been fishing the lake frequently since last April, so am still learning the ropes here. But if there is one person who knows the lake the best for bluegill, it would be LedHed. He seems to have the best spots dialed down. He has given me good tips and advice while fishing. He has helped out people who are new to the lake and wanted to fish for bluegill and have a good time. I also hear he has a secret workshop where he creates bluegill busting jigs. Maybe he will chime in soon.

Are you planning a trip to Socal? That be cool to meet you and swap fish stories :) or fish with you would be even cooler. Hmmm there are no licensed guides to my knowledge that target bluegill.
