Great Wife and Fishing Buddy

I have a great wife and fishing buddy. On the weekend I get out early to my little pond. While I’m fishing my wife is relaxing in the house re-string my new reel with # 4lb test line. When I catch a large fish a simple cell phone call to the house brings her out running to get the fishing net that was dropped at the other in of the pond. A quick scoop of the net she gets the fish up and to me to remove the hook and release the fish. I know what you’re think why can’t she do this? I just have to help her out on thing like this. She lays the net close to where I’m fishing to save her steps on the next one and then goes back into the house to get me some more ice tea. I just love spending time at the pond with my wife.

my wife loves to fish we usally fish at least 3 times a week She does very well but will not unhook a pike she does bait her own hook. Her biggest problem is trying different tactics, It has been great since we started fishing together.

Not only does mine go fishing with me but she baits her line as well. In fact, just yesterday she was sitting at the table separating wax worms with me that we are breeding for personal use. Not many women I know would allow you to breed wax worms in the house as well as help you harvest them. She likes them better than red worms, she says they are much cleaner and don't smell.

Gotta love a good woman.

My wife is great, never fusses about my fishing, but she now refers to herself as a fishing widow.

Just be glad your wife like to fish. LOL

Ok mine likes it but between here allergic reaction to the grass and fear of snakes she pretty much finds that it is not worth the trouble.

So I just thank her for giving me two little girls that like to fish. (well at least one, the 3 year old likes to pretend she is the fishing dog, not sure if there even is such a thing)

Again Rick thanks for the post and blog this is great stuff and what we are all about.

That is cool Rick. Some guys take their wife's for granted. Glad to see your not. I have been married for only three years but no one supports my love for the sport of fishing more than my wife. And she doesn't even eat fish!
