Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Well Ive finally done it- Ive scouted out a handful of fishing spots and have amassed enough  panfish tackle that even a packrat like me can feel comfortable. I catch myself wringing my hands and cackling over the pile my goodies like some overgrown leprechaun. So the game is on.

I look around at all my junk... er, treasures... and it dawns on me that I need to dump a lot of this stuff. It started last year when we moved to this house and I had to actually TAKE all my crap with me. Years of collected model planes, metal detectors, tools, guitars and assorted baggage had piled up - most of which I don't use and couldn't use in a lifetime. Moving after 2o years is very cathartic...

So Iv'e been an "eager ebay beaver" in the last few months, auctioning and adding to the fishing fund. There is still a ton more to get rid of.

I'm thinking that at the current rates things are selling for, I'll have neough for a john boat, canoe or....??? - by summer.

In the meantime it's fishing as usual. If you ever get to Aiken County, SC look me up. We'll find somewhere to wet a line.

PS Anybody interested in a good used metal detector or guitar?? :-)

David, I was just looking at Aiken Co on the map last week. Besides fishing, another vice of mine is genealogy and I was hunting down my Aiken kinfolk in SC. , huh, small world.

If there is anything I can do to help you, just let me know. My former hobby of metal detecting took me into a lot of places and I know a fair amount of the Aiken area history; I once discovered some unknown civil war grave sites, even.

Aiken is beautiful country David, as I worked down there years ago. When the weather warms up a bit, might hit you up for a ride down the Edisto.

P.S. Don't need any more stuff either!!!

Lemme know when you come. I'll find us something to float in.

Yes but did you pick up a cane pole yet?? Congrats on the work on eBay - nice work. You should put a link to your eBay shop if you wish... or not. ; )

I have two cane poles - a 10' and a 13'. Im planning a third, next: a 16 footer.

And I am just selling stuff on ebay - mostly model plane and train goods, RC items, guitars, metal detectors, etc. I don't have a shop.
