Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Guys this little item is a must if you are fishing larger ponds and small lakes. I am talking about my Pelican Raider 8 ft. pontoon boat. Two individuals’ can fish comfortable with room for your tackle. The seats can slide forward and backward depending on how much leg room one needs. I decided to add an anchor in case I am in wind and need to set up at one particular place. I am using it with a 30 lb. thrust Min-Kota trolling motor. I even added a portable deep finder which is really handy fishing a lake or pond for the first time. I was debating on getting an aluminum boat, but I decided against it because I wanted a boat that would cut down on noise and this little boat fits the ticket. Only weights 50 lbs. and extremely easy to load and unload. Has anyone out there used this boat?

I just got out of the 10fter. We fished for almost 5hours today. I have 4 degen disc and 2 bone spurs in my back. A couple cool snacks and I was fine. We have hung a few HUGE bass in the boat and I filled a cooler full of big gills in it. Everything stores nice and its extremely stable long as you dont try and stand up and walk around. Your not gonna flip the boat but its pretty easy to flip you if your not quick on your feet with a couple folks in it. All in all..... WAY better than a jon boat. Hope we can do an all night crappie catfish trip in it soon.

Maybe I can ride in that second seat one day!

I have one very similar, built in wheels on rear for putting in most anywhere. As to stability, I feel more secure in it than I ever have in a john boat or small v-hull. I added the padded seats and a small seat pedastal. Like Bill, that second seat stays home most of the time. It AIN'T for sale!!!

I thought at one time I would change the seats to cushion seats and backs, but those seats are low in the back and the seats that came with the boat gives you more back support.

There is another seat that slides in the groove track that the present seat is in. One can slide the seats back or forth in the groove. I have another seat that I use when someone else is fishing with me. As I stated it could get crowded if you are on the lake all day, but for a 3 to 4 hour trip it is fine with two.The entire boat, motor, battery, was 450.00 on sale at Academy Sports---trolling motor and battery from Wal-mart.-------300.00 for boat at Academy

Really a handy little boat, and is perfect for one person, although two can fish out this boat it can be a little cramp especially all day----but it is o.k. for 3 or 4 hours with two fishing. I really like the boat for what I use it for.

We all should have one under our tonneau, just in case. Really!!!

I have used this type of sealed cavity boat before...IMO it is better well suited for a single angler.
