Yesterday's big girl gill
I was fishing a western Illinois public strip pit and caught a big-for-me girl bluegill from the Fish Cat tube. l. I used a BPS 71/2 UL 4piece rod. (I think it is now discontinued). A 1/80 oz chart. / dk blue kiptail jig on a simple #8 jig hook I tied was tipped with a wax worm or salted shrimp. The reel is spooled with Cabela's Pro Line #4 mono.
