It sounds to me like you clearly deserve to have a mount of that fish.
Let's take this question scientifically. I will enlarge a picture of one of my biggest bluegills, then I will use those dimensions to estimate the length of your fish. I have one very important point that I'd like to clear up. Was the "height" of this fish including a flared dorsal fin? That would make a big difference if the fin was in the up or down position.
