My best Piney Run crappie at 15 1/2 in in Feb of 07 on 1/16 th oz pink hairjig. Water temp was 42 F

Hey thanks guys for the nice comments. I checked my records and this fish was caught actually in Feb of 08 during our mild mid-Atlantic winter that year. This is my biggest winter crappie at 2 1/4 lbs and I released it. Caught it at Piney Run.

Yes, the fish took one of my 'pink thing' hairjigs over deep brush with about a 42 F water temperature.

around 59 to 60 degrees...........

Excellent Crappie Jim!! Just under 2 lbs?Did it hit one of your hand tied "critters"? Hit Pink huh.One of my favorites is a 16th oz pink headed /white bucktail jig.
