From 1982 through 1995, the Santee Cooper lakes and the Back River were my primary fishing spots Vince......My biggest Coppernose to date came out of Lake Moultrie and I've filled the boat with great bluegill and shellcrackers from both lakes.....Catfish central as well.....these fish will continue to top 100 pounds with the shad and sunfish populations that are available for food.....Water level a problem from time to time.....Moultrie was very low this time lasy year but it's back up this year.......

Do you fish Marion and Moultrie much, Jeffrey? I have seen pictures of the crackers that have been caught there.

South Carolina currently holds or is officially tied for 4 freshwater species World Records...Channel Catfish @ 58 pounds, Bowfin @ 21 pounds 8 ounces, Redbreast Sunfish @ 2 pounds and Redear Sunfish @ 5 pounds 7 ounces although Mr. Lawler's Havasu Beast was an ounce larger than this fish.......I wonder if the Gronaw Grass Shrimp will hold this guy! LOL
