Look a lot like a Brown Bullhead and/or  a Channel Cat . I understand smaller anal fin ,larger mouth and less forked tail than channel Cat ... looks like white barbels . Delaware River an hour or more away from me has them and Greenwood  lake very near me has them .Gotta try to locate them sometime. Yes what Catfish can resist a crawler .I caught some decent Channel Cats recently on Crawler piece tipped Jigs UI long casted slip floating from shore . Gotta try that at Greenwood lake for Whites .

Hey John - if I remember correctly I caught this one using a live nightcrawler. Anytime between April and September should work for the mid-atlantic states. They usually do not get very big. I caught another one out of the Meherrin River in Emporia, VA a while back.

How do you fish for the White Cats? Bait /time of year etc. I've never caught one .
