I'm not sure, but this looks like maybe a warmouth? Somebody tell me what this thing is, please!

Mine was dark because it came from a black water stream, South Carolina's Edisto River (one of the few undam'ed black water rivers left in America.)
They don't get real big, either. The worlds record is just a few pounds...

Got it! Yours is a little bigger and a little darker than mine. This is a pretty small sunfish compared to gills and crackers, right?
