Do you love big bluegill?
After The Pole Broke Yesterday.....
I still had the Pasquotank River monster hooked yesterday after my 12 foot telescopic pole broke in half while in combat.....but later in the fight the 1/32 ounce jig pictured here gave way and the fish won the battle...Many folks would never fish a bait this large for gills.....but it's the norm for me during the summer and is small against the numerous large predators of the Albemarle...

If the fish aren't spooked, or conditioned to angling, then I agree.....use as large as you can for the easy bite. You can always downsize for wary fish.
