These are the two patterns I have been tying lately...with polar fibre, craft hair and krystal flash on a 1/32 oz jig head. The pink/white pattern is a standby of mine for crappie...I am excited about the pink/chartreuse jig as I think it might do the deed. Thanks to Greg McWilliams for giving me the idea!

Great job on the new critters, I have been tying flys for 20 years but jigs are completly different to tie. Hope that electric chicken pattern works well in your waters. Going to tie your white and pink and go fishin. Looks like a pretty day on the prairie.

Hey Jim,
Those look fantastic! Do you plan to tip them with anything? They look good enough to do the trick without. Do they "breath" in the water like marabou? I haven't tied my own jigs in years...may just have to dig out the old vice again. I used to just use calftail and marabou but these days there looks to be a lot of other options.
