The Story Behind This Fishing Spot.......

This oxbow basin is close to my home and makes for easy access when time is short. With a maximum depth of twenty feet it has been a great wintering spot for the local fish population. But it got better in late April of 2014 when a tornado passed over the area snapping the top out of the pine tree in the fore ground and placing it right in the hole creating a fish magnet........it was a pine tree so it continues to break down and wash away but man has it held fish the last few years.....I've deposited about a dozen jigs and hooks the last few years but get a little current going through this tree top and the bite is on.....this top is between the dead grass mat and the boat which is sitting in twenty feet........
