Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This little bait has been working nicely for the last week in multiple applications...best has been under a cork tipped with a live cricket...

Those really look good, Jim. Pink and white are one of my favorite crappie jig colors. What is that sparkle stuff tied on those jigs?

I have actually found them to be better on crappie than the gills. We don't have the rough and tumble bowfin, cats, pickerel or gar in my local waters. I can see these getting beat up in a hurry with critters like that!

Those are great looking baits Jim....I fished a couple of your hair jigs earlier this summer until Apex predators deemed them to retirement....

Pink sure is hot Jeffrey, especially in the darkwater environs. Here are two of my favorite 'Pink Things' that have been doin me good for years now...

Both of these are 1/32nd oz, a good all round size choice for crappie and tanker gills.

The lure pictured here caught the fish in the Pink Discussion Robert......I prefer the brand name "Honey Hole Lures" out of Walstonburg, North Carolina......They are pretty common on bait store shelves in coastal North Carolina....

What a great time I've had with this little bait throughout the week.....A little 1/32 ounce pink head and the 2 inch C.T. body...when the bite slows I'll trim that body down a little.....

Bluegill Candy...add a live cricket for some protein and you've got a winning combination!
