Bass are also stocked heavy to keep recruitment of bluegill down.

Yes, this is a fish that was caught on Bob Lusk's personal backyard pond. These ponds are designed to grow trophy largemouth bass, but, as is often the case, good water and plentiful feed means that the bluegill get really big too. The largemouth bass in this lake are fed Aquamax largemouth bass feed, and the bluegill get a smaller version of aquamax. Everybody's happy.

It is amazing to even think that there is an average of bluegill that size. Great photo!!!
