They seem to prefer two to three feet in most cases but with the wind tides we experience the water can be drawn down and these fish find themselves in really shallow areas, often giving away their location with their movements...........this becomes an exciting time when you get pumped up from seeing your target species.......

These fish look like they have been dipped in tar they are so dark........
