Muskie, That is a pretty picture, it would really be pretty with out the snow and ice. Would like to see a summer pic. Must be tough having to live on a lake like that. But somebody has to do it, EH...

I saw that same sky on my way to work from Gurnee yesterday morning. Unfortunately, I had I94 in the foreground, not a pretty iced over lake.
So when are you going to drill some holes in it? A popular channel off the Fox treated me well last weekend, and I've got a few meals worth of bluegill fillets in the freezer.
I may try to get my son out with me this weekend if I can get away from holiday preparations.
Most of the Fox chain of lakes have 4-6" of ice now.....I expect to see hundreds of anglers on the ice this weekend.

Beauitful picture! You did a great job on the right time and right place! Lake in your backyard ..... NICE! Fishing everyday! Ice should be okay this weekend! I heard channels, Fox River's channels and bays is safe to fish right now!
Just a simple life in a northern town......best of both worlds!
